Hello...I am ME..let me introduce myself to you and tell you who I really am...I am the mother of time..I represent all my Cherokee Family...the ones of the past...our ancestors...our present...our future...there is no beginning...no ending... for we are on the wheel of life... the wheel of time..I represent today...tomorrow.. while reaching for another time...I will strive to connect with our people of all..the times...while serving as the new National / Principal Tribal Mother...of The United Cherokee Nation [UCN]...I am 75% Cherokee Blood. I am Edna Joe Jones " Autumn Sky " Bryson...I am the second daughter of Stella Mae {Davis} Jones and Arthur Benjamin Jones,Sr. both deceased. I am the Great granddaughter of Matilda Lupina Lankford and Richard Bueford Jewell...both full blood Cherokee Indians of who I am proud to claim my Indian Blood...I was fortunate to know my great grandmother while I was a very young child....She was called " Piney " by most...and " mammie " by the others..including me...I loved her dearly...for she was the one who taught me...to braid hair when I was eight years in time...I remember she wore straw in her ears...and my older sister LaVerlia {Cherokee Rose} and I would ask her...Mammie...why do you have straw in your ears?...She told us she was Cherokee Indian and when you have your ears pierced...and don't....keep the earrings in the holes will grow up... We loved our dear Old...OLD Great grandmother....We loved her very much....  but she was...as old as time....They said she was...one hundred and five years...She was Old..As OLD..as.. time...The night she died...I was nine and half years... my mom..dad..sister LaVerlia...and Me...stood by her bedside...While she...howled...The Indian death Chant...{ I can hear it now } She mumbled something to my dad..which..it was muffled coming from..her dying lips...my dad held closer...and ask what are you trying.. to tell us mammie...with a little gust of breath..she mumbled " Take It and Put It In Safe Keepings " and then died and left this earth...This statement from my dying great grandmother on her death bed...had tortured me..throughout my life...I strived to know...what this message meant...I had carried this burden for so many years...Oh Yes!!! I had heard many of the sad tales...of what had happened..to those..of us who.. had our Indian Blood..Throughout the many year....searching ,,,striving to understand...what the words...from my dying grandmother''s lip meant...." Take It and Put IT In Safe Keepings "...Hummm...who knows...?... The deeper I studied my Cherokee Heritage.. I realized...She was talking about ...Our Records, papers...of who we are....This made sense ...to me... for the first..time in my  life...She was still..trying...to.. protect us while...she lay...dying on her death bed...My dearly Beloved...Full Blood Cherokee Indian....  My precious Great Grandmother...to whom Our family owes So much.......  Me mother of unity  Autumn Sky

My Life did not start the day I was born or the moment of conception... factors and many of my ancestor had a most sacred part in the life of ME. I shall always remember them as I want my descendants to remember ME!!!! I will PULL my ancient ancestors along in my heart while HOLDING on to the ones of the most recent past and the ones of the present whom are so very dear to my heart ....Had it NOT BEEN for these dear loved ones I have just spoken of....there would... NEVER... have been ME.... I would not be..here... before you on the keyboard and writing you...this legacy of ME... My thoughts.., of life...is to give back what life has given ME... I want to share with the world at large and make a difference... for my being here... on this Great Mother Earth....I was not by accident...There were so Many, Many... MANY...years of planning ME. I am of Cherokee Blood and it is the life of ME.  I am Edna Joe Jones " Autumn sky " Bryson....I was born and raised in Douglas, Georgia.USA..... was schooled and educated there... for most of my tender years.   My father was a farmer, a carpenter, and a construction worker on the building of a very large ship in Brunswick, Georgia on the crossing of the Sidney Lanier Bridge. I admired my father and felt he could do anything on earth. My mother was a wonderful homemaker and what a homemaker she was. She cooked and sewed, making beautiful clothes for us to wear. My mom designed our clothes by drawing her own patterns on brown paper bags which she had straighten out and then cutting them to mark on the cloth. So much love had gone into our upbringing. My parents...Oh Gosh!!!! I was so proud of my Mom and Dad....I cannot express the size of Love..that. I felt in my heart for my mom and dad... Oh! Gosh!!! How I knew.. even as a young child I knew I was blessed...I knew I had many blessings which I was so very thankful for and shared with many of my young friends. We were taught to love everyone and to be proud of who we are. Be careful how you treat little children for...they are our future and they will remember the past.......Autumn Sky

Hi...I am Edna Joe Jones " Autumn Sky " Bryson..75% Cherokee/Creek and 25% European, Cherokee Indian Dominate!!! My Mother's father Stafford Richard " Davis " family are Welch. My Father's father John Benjamin Hamilton Jones family are also welch. They came to the United States of America in the early 1600's. We are some of the very first families to mix blood with the American Indians and we have the records to prove it. For generations back to those days almost all my family married mostly their DOUBLE FIRST COUSINS. We have records to prove this also. I have the Davis family history for fourteen generations back. President Jefferson Davis, the Civil War President, is my 4th great grandfather Arthur Davis' first cousin. President Jefferson Davis' grandfather Evan Davis, Sr. is my 6th great grandfather.... Arthur Davis .. my 4th GG..Father fought in the war along with and beside President George Washington our Very First President of the United States of America. Hi..I..am Me Edna Joe Jones "Autumn Sky" Bryson National / Principal Tribal Mother The United Cherokee Nation UCN Tribal Elder on Council  United Cherokee Nation and State Tribal Clan Mother of Georgia,   How I got my Positions on The United Cherokee Nation Council .   I earned it. First my birth right. I was born Cherokee Indian in the United States of America. Second I was then and now very knowledgeable of the native way. I have been in the Leadership position in another Native American organization for several years.We also were on the educational board. We went into schools and taught the children. The last class we had were sixteen classes in one day in Georgia USA. We were asked to join the UCN three years before we did, by Chief Red-Hawk our Spiritual leader now Retired Principal Chief is on Tribal Council, Also Principal Chief Wesley Two Eagles Wright and Assistant Principal Chief George Burke and National Chief Steven " Stone Bear " Phillips. My husband Chief Clyde " Golden Eagle " Bryson and I, Edna Joe Jones " Autumn Sky " Bryson  Were appointed Tribal  Elders on Council on The United Cherokee Nation for the Knowledge and Wisdom we have, which is a lot. as well as our trained expertise.   I have studied all my life, worked and earned what I have received in positions or money for my career as pay for my job. I studied for three years to become a Tribal Mother. I also received my certificate. I have always been a high and higher than average achiever person. I'm no better than anyone else but I am as good as anyone else. I was blessed with the wisdom to study hard and learn good doctrines. Also Respect for myself and others. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be charitable, for it is humane.   As a child I made far above average grades in school, but never gloated about what I did or could do. I was a happy person [still am] always have been. I always made friends easy. Shared anything I have ever had with others. I was very athletic in sports. I was a high school cheer leader. I studied and did acrobats. I took tap dancing. I tapped many, many times on school programs and acted in programs. I tapped in many competitions and won many of them. I took music flute for more than two years. I took chorus for more than two years. I am a writer, I write and sing my songs. I also took ballroom dancing for one year in school. I wrote programs in school [for the school] to be performed by the students at Sidney Lanier Junior High School, Brunswick, Georgia. USA   As a young girl, I worked a few hours a week after school only part time for one year. I have two years of college I have had a business career in my work. I was a news journalist  for a large company and wrote their paper events for their home offices. I designed a paper for this big company and was paid quite a substantial amount of money. I have worked with the Government through Sister Plan to HUD and a Private Company. I nursed for a few years. I am married. Three children, four sisters, one brother [one brother deceased]. All my grandparents are deceased. I loved all my grandparents very much!!! I had a good relationship with all of them. My parents are deceased many years. They were very good parents. They were the best. I loved them very much. If I could have chosen my own parents, I would have chosen them. Sometimes now I miss them so much. My adopted parents are Myrtice and Kenneth Chancey of Offerman, Georgia USA and three step sisters. I have had a good life most like the average people of my culture and background. I choose not to go into specifics due to other people and their privacy. I think I have given a good basic of my life's background.
